By focusing on specific sectors, PlexoBio ensures companies aren’t lost in a sea of unrelated experts. This targeted approach saves time, increases efficiency, and drives revenue growth. Problem
The service sector in life sciences is disorganized, making it challenging to find the right service at the right time, which becomes a bottleneck. The search process takes considerable time, causing delays in completing projects on schedule.
Throughout my doctoral journey, I encountered a significant challenge: the absence of efficient service channels throughout the project pipeline. This deficiency primarily results from the lack of robust platforms where experts can effectively showcase their services and where individuals seeking assistance can easily find and engage with them. Consequently, this gap leads to delays in accessing necessary services, exacerbating the challenges faced by professionals in the life sciences field. Overall, these setbacks can jeopardize the extension of project grants in academia and affecting the Life science community. For companies, this could negatively impact the economic scale and have an adverse effect on the life sciences industry.

Solution
Addressing bottlenecks in life sciences services requires the development of an AI-powered service marketplace tailored specifically for the life sciences sector. This platform should facilitate seamless connections between service providers and seekers, while also promoting transparency in expertise and pricing. By doing so, it will expedite service delivery and enhance project efficiency. AI can survey service quality and pricing post-use. Users give feedback, and AI analyzes it, providing transparent, reliable information on quality and pricing.This approach would offer added value to users by ensuring they receive transparent and reliable information.

Team
Anshu Singh holds a PhD in Molecular Biology and Oncology, with extensive research experience at the intersection of epigenetics and metabolism. Alongside her scientific expertise, she has completed Life Science Management training, gaining a strong foundation in sales, marketing, and business administration. She was selected as a fellow of the Leadership Talent Academy at Campus Founders, where she engaged in peer-to-peer learning with fellow founders and explored real-life case studies to understand diverse management styles. In addition, she is a proud participant of the prestigious EXIST-Women program, which supports ambitious women founders in developing innovative ideas, business models, and financial plans to launch startups.
Anshu has also actively represented and marketed PlexoBio, an emerging centralized digital marketplace connecting suppliers and vendors in the life sciences sector, at leading programs such as the Top Female Founders Program in Vienna and the Campus Founders Leadership Talent Academy in Heilbronn.
In 2023, she started preparing the groundwork for the foundation of PlexoBio alongside her husband, Dr. Indrabahadur Singh, who currently serves as a Group Leader at the German Cancer Research Centre in Heidelberg, holding an MBA degree from THM Business School. Together, they bring a wealth of scientific acumen and business leadership to PlexoBio, positioning it and having potential to be at the forefront of innovation in the life sciences sector. For the IT platform development, we have hired a medium-sized IT company. Dr. Indrabahadur Singh is leading product development with the support of their development team. Over the past year, he has gained a comprehensive unerstanding of IT platform product development and provides clear direction to the team for both front-end and back-end tasks, utilizing JavaScript for frontend and Java for backend platform development. Dr. Anshu Singh contributes design inputs, manages SEO, and is involved in creating platform content as well as marketing and sales.
Business model
PlexoBio is an AI-powered B2B platform connecting life sciences SMEs and academic institutions with service providers. We initially offer medical writing, graphic design, data analytics, and multi-omics solutions. As we grow, we'll expand to include a broader range of documentation projects.
Our USP lies in 21 years of life sciences experience, enabling us to effectively tackle industry challenges and deliver high-quality service, making us the preferred choice for exceptional quality assurance.
Our business model includes commissions from project services and future income from life science-related advertisements. We ensure timely delivery and high standards through strict quality control and experienced supervision from founders and management team.
We’ll use LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter to boost platform awareness and drive engagement. Our key resources are a vetted team of skilled professionals who oversee services. We seek strategic partnerships with those committed to improving efficiency and accelerating service delivery in life sciences.
Our cost structure includes wages for the supervision team, IT maintenance, hardware, software, and ongoing business training. Initially operating from home offices, we plan to rent space later. Costs also cover platform development, client travel, and business trips, ensuring efficient financial management and supporting growth.
