The Start-up BW Summit is the central event of Start-up BW and serves to network start-ups, start-up ecosystems, established companies and investors from Baden-Württemberg, Germany, Europe and the world.
In addition to 4,000 participants, we expect around 230 exhibiting start-ups at the Start-up BW Summit - 60 of them from 20 international ecosystems. In addition to other exhibition areas for start-up ecosystems and AI initiatives, the Summit will feature an Investor and Corporate Lounge for collaboration and funding discussions. Workshops, side events, as well as a diverse stage program with the participation of policy makers will round out the day.
Partner countries Israel and the UK will be represented by 20 startups. The exhibiting start-ups from the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Energy & Environment, E-Services & FinTech, Life Sciences & MedTech, Manufacturing & Mobility, Social Innovation & GovTech, Software & IT Security will present themselves in parallel on three stages.
As a sign of its solidarity with the Ukrainian start-up scene due to the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, the Ministry of Economy has invited 10 start-ups from the Ukrainian ecosystem to the Start-up BW Summit.
The focus of this year's Start-up BW Summit is on Artificial Intelligence (AI). We are therefore working in close cooperation with the Tübingen AI Center, which is supporting the Summit with its technical expertise. The Tübingen AI Center is one of the six national AI competence centers - an association of the leading research institutions in the field of AI.
As part of the Start-up BW Summit, the Tübingen AI Center is hosting the Sciencepreneur FAIR. This is an AI symposium that brings students, founders and all interested parties closer to the topic of sciencepreneurship - i.e. the bridge between research and entrepreneurship. Top-class speakers focus on the various aspects of AI and bridge the gap between science, technology transfer and spin-offs. Around 60 AI start-ups and ecosystems provide the framework for this.
The Start-up BW Summit opens up the opportunity to exchange ideas about the start-up community, current trends, technologies as well as funding and financing and to get in touch with other companies, investors, relevant start-up stakeholders as well as with politics and administration.
