Cooperation partners:
The East Württemberg start-up region is home to world market and technological leaders, as well as innovative medium-sized companies. The start-up offensive in the area has a range of strong partners, such as Carl Zeiss, and innovative service providers such as GEO DATA or the Graustich agency. The development is focused on technology-oriented and knowledge-intensive start-ups.
The East Württemberg region is characterised by tight networks that provide swift access to important decision-makers. We help start-ups contact exciting customers and cooperation partners at businesses and universities. There is a close-knit network of financing partners, including banks, regional investment capital funds and strategic investors. We can also support start-ups with experienced mentors, on request.
The umbrella organisation for the East Württemberg start-up offensive recently founded the East Württemberg Region Start-up association. This coordinates all activities. It currently manages around 60 start-ups from areas such as IT, optical technology, food, energy, 3D printing, 3D visualisation or IT security and mobile apps. In the Innovation Centre at the university Aalen start-ups can already make use of attractive co-working spaces and make contacts to innovative start-up teams. In May 2018 the Co-Working-Space in:it of the Hochschule für Gestaltung and the city of Schwäbisch Gmünd has been launched. In Heidenheim, the co-working space "TechnoLab", in which the city of Heidenheim and the DHBW Heidenheim cooperate, is at its planning stage. It will open its doors in the 3rd quarter of 2019. Information on the Heidenheim start-up scene can be found here. The start-up region thus offers attractive coworking spaces at three locations.
The offensive is currently working on setting up “Make East Württemberg”, which is scheduled to debut in 2018. Discussions are underway with more partners from industry. We would welcome the participation of interested companies. We can provide mature and old SMEs with opportunities to network with start-ups. And the region has plenty to offer start-ups as well.
